Initial Consultation - Putting You At Ease

You can easily schedule an introductory call with me via my website. My goal in our first conversation will be to learn about you and your family. I want you to feel at ease and to take all the time you need to ask your questions, voice any concerns and talk about the procedure in depth. I strive to give my clients all the information and support they need, to make informed and confident decisions for their child.

One of the biggest advantages of having a personal Mohel perform the circumcision for you is that I am not a faceless intern or doctor who simply carries out a procedure behind closed doors. I aim to be a trusted advisor who accompanies and supports you throughout this highly emotional and meaningful time and beyond.

Initial Call to the Mohel

The ideal time to call a Mohel and have a conversation with him is as soon as you know it is a boy. It is preferable to avoid the pressures after or during birth, and I therefore encourage parents to call as soon as they know it is a boy.

Scheduling - Selecting An Opportune Time

Once you have decided to go ahead and have me perform the circumcision on your beloved son, we will set a mutually convenient day for the procedure to take place.

Please note that the earlier you let me know about your new arrival, the easier it will be for me to offer you your preferred date for the event. The Mohel is usually the third person parents contact to share the news of the baby’s birth.

The Procedure

My arrival - The big day has arrived. It's normal to feel nervous, excited and emotional. That's why I’ll arrive nice and early and make sure we have time to talk before I begin.

Questions and chatting - We will spend some time going over the procedure so you feel informed, educated and are comfortable with it. I will also talk you through the aftercare process and make sure you have time to ask any questions.

Setting up - I’ll set up my tools in accordance with my exacting standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Circumcision - The circumcision procedure itself takes less than one minute. That really is it! Now you can breathe….

Reassurance - Don’t worry, I don't just pack up and leave afterwards. I’ll stick around to ensure everything is ok and to reassure you all. Once everyone is happy and confident, I’ll say my goodbyes but I’ll be at the other end of the phone line if you need me!

Aftercare and Follow Up - With You All The Way!

After the circumcision is done, you will not be left to deal with the care on your own!

Before I leave, I guide you through the aftercare process and make sure you know what to look out for. I’ll also make myself available to you on the phone and by text message and I encourage you to reach out to me with any and every question or concern.

Even if I don't hear from you, I’ll get in touch after a day or two to see how you everyone is doing.

I Come To You - In the Comfort of Your Home

It is my sincere belief that the ideal location to perform a baby’s circumcision is at home. One of the reasons I enjoy performing a circumcision in the family’s own home, is that it is a much more peaceful and calm situation for baby and parents alike. The contrast between a hospital circumcision and a home-based one is stark. I feel privileged that I can travel to you and be with you in your own home and offer a warm, personalized and caring service that is a far cry from the clinical coldness of a hospital setting. There is much to be said about giving the mother an opportunity to nurse her son at home immediately after the circumcision. I feel strongly that after a circumcision, a baby should be able to rest in his own bed rather than suffer the discomfort of being transferred in a car-seat from the clinic back to the home.
